This is a new form of fitness competition accessible to everyone! All participants compete under one set of rules and perform the same workout. Each part of the workout includes only basic functional movements that require no special preparation or training. STORMEET in its concept develops 10 fitness parameters in each competitor. STORMEET events are not just competitions, they are new opportunities on your sporting path. In the same arena on the same day, using exactly the same standard, you can compete against others and test your fitness level.
It is designed for every fitness level. The Challenge provides 3 opportunities to compete within your chosen category. All categories provide competition within fundamental functional exercises and provide a unique test for each athlete.
The competition is open to any number of female or male participants aged 16 and over or single sex duos (male/male) or (female/female) and mixed pairs (female/male)
An invariable element of the STORMEET competition is the run. Each workout is preceded by 1 km. The total distance is 8 km.
Workout number one is the rowing ergometer. The distance is 1000 m for each category STORMEET
Workout number two is the sled push (Sled Push). The distance for each category is 100m. Here you need the muscles of the lower body, especially the front thigh muscles. In addition, the entire posterior chain and core muscles are involved.
Farmer's Carry or Farmer's Walk. A simple exercise that you can practise during your weekly shopping run. The distance is 200m for each category.
100m medical ball lunges are a good workout for your thighs and glutes!
This exercise is nearly 100 years old!
Burpees are a full-body workout that is both loved and hated. We add the long jump to it.
The pre-final STORMEET workout is 1000m on the Ski Erg for each category. The Ski Erg focuses mainly on the arm and core muscles. If performed correctly, the muscles of the lower body are also involved in the movement.
This is the final bastion. Once you've beaten it you'll still have to sprint to the finish line and join the #STORMEETFAMILY Fitness.
